Lucille R. (Dubois) Healy, 88, of Worcester passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 20, 2012 with family by her side after a period of declining health. Lucille's husband Russell P. Healy passed away in 1991. She is survived by her devoted family, Michael D. Healy and his wife Jenny, Donna G. McPherson and her husband Alan all of Worcester; five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson. Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Two sisters, Jeanette A. Christy and Rita Tebeau both pre deceased her. Lucille was born in Worcester; her parents were the late Arthur J and Alice A. (Berthiaume) Dubois. She graduated from Commerce High School and has lived here all her life. Lucille worked as an office services manager for the Riley Stoker Corporation many years before retiring. After retirement Lucille became activities director for the Salisbury Nursing Home, now Autumn Village. Lucille was devoted to her church St Joan of Arc. She was an active founding member, a Eucharistic minister and member of its Legion of Mary. She was a member of the Chapter 4 Disabled American Veterans ladies auxiliary, a member and past president of the State Auxiliary of the National Federation of Post Office Clerks. Lucille was very active in her church and community. But her life's inspiration and treasure was her family. She devoted herself to them, cherished the times she could spend with them and took pride in the things they accomplished. Lucille's funeral will be held Thursday, March 22nd from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St with a Mass at 10:30 am in the church she loved, St Joan of Arc, 570 Lincoln St. Burial next to her husband will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held from 9 am to 10 am prior to leaving for church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made the St Joan of Arc Church Building fund, 570 Lincoln St. Worcester 01605. The Healy family would like to thank the Autumn Village for all the care, comfort and compassion during Lucille's time as a resident.
