Grace K. (Kasperian) Perno, 85, of Worcester, died peacefully Monday March 12, 2012 in the Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family. Her husband Matteo Perno died in 1997. Grace is survived by two sons Matt and Gary Perno, two daughters June Salminen and her husband Richard, and Cheryl Tereba and her husband Victor, all of Worcester. Four grandchildren; Christine Stone, Deirdre Halverson, Matthew Perno, and Ian Tereba, and 6 great grandchildren, one brother David Kasperian, and a sister Nora Holmes, and several nephews and nieces. Grace was born in Marseille , France daughter of the late Kasper and Joohar (Torigian) Kasperian and came to Worcester as a young child. She was a graduate of Commerce High School, and the Salter Secretarial School. Grace worked many years at the Worcester State Hospital as a Case Manager, and also was a social worker for the Model Cities Program. Grace was a long time member of the Armenian Church of our Saviour and it s Women's Guild. She was an expert in needlecrafts including knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed sewing, painting, and ceramics, and loved to cook. However her most precious times were those spent with her family. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Grace's funeral will be held Friday March 16, at 11:00AM in the Armenian Church of Our Saviour 87 Salisbury St. Her calling hours will be held IN THE CHURCH FROM 9:00AM to 10:45AM prior to the Service. Interment will be with her husband in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
