Irene A. (Perno) Kabadian, 71, of Holden died peacefully Saturday March 10, 2012 surrounded by her loving family in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence. She is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years George Kabadian, her loving daughters, Kimberly L. Kane and her husband Jeffrey of Worcester, Julianne V. Stratton and her husband Matthew of West Boylston, three grandchildren, Angelina, Sophia, and Theo. Irene also leaves a brother Michael Perno and his wife Shirley, and two sisters Angela Markarian, and Mary Waterhouse, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers Matteo and Dominic Perno, and a sister Michele Wrona. Irene was born in Worcester daughter of the late Michael and Lucrezia (Argentieri) Perno and has lived in Holden for 39 Years. Irene was a graduate of Commerce High School, and was an Accountant for several Worcester area companies. She was a life member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church and was an instructor at their Pre School Program. Irene was also a member of the Worcester Art Museum. Irene enjoyed walking, and was a talented organist. She really loved when the family was around her while she played. Irene was a lovely lady who really treasured her family. She will be terribly missed by her family and friends. Irene's funeral will be held Wednesday March 14, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann 24 Mulberry St. A period of calling hours will be held from 8:30 to 10:30AM in the funeral home prior to leaving for Church. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery.
