Lisa B Vokes

Lisa B. Vokes, 49, formerly of Shrewsbury, is now sleeping with the angels in heaven, after passing away at home on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Lisa is survived by her mother, Carol J. (Anderson) Vokes of Worcester; her loving brothers and their families, Kris A. Vokes, his wife Keri J. Vokes and their children, Chelsie and Benjamin Vokes all of Shrewsbury and Kerry R. Vokes and his son Nicholas Vokes both of Grafton; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Lisa was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Ronald H. Vokes, and grew up in Shrewsbury, where she graduated from Shrewsbury High School. She attended Anna Maria College and earned her Bachelor's Degree from Worcester State University. She had been studying for her Master's Degree. Lisa enjoyed playing guitar and she was artistic. She was in the book of Who's Who in America for her GPA. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Worcester. Calling hours for Lisa will be held on Sunday, March 11, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 10, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
