Germaine T. (Granger) Belmonte, 83, of Plantation Street, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, in Notre Dame Long Term Care Center, with her loving family at her side. Germaine is survived by her dear husband of sixty-one years, Amando E. "Bruce" Belmonte; their children, Richard B. Belmonte and his wife LuAnne of Bel Air, Maryland, Robert M. Belmonte of Holden, Mark S. Belmonte and his wife Linda of Londonderry, New Hampshire and Cheryl A. Laganelli and her husband Bart of Holden; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, John Belmonte and by her sister, Lorraine Boucher. She was born in Worcester, daughter of George and Alba (Gravel) Granger, graduated from Ascension High School and has lived here all her life. She worked as the Assistant to the President at Cristy Corporation for many years, before she retired in 2005. She was a member of Saint Stephen's Church. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 8, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral will be held on Friday, March 9, from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Saint Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton Street, Worcester.
