Lillie M. (Peoples) Johnson, 64, of Worcester, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Lillie is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Donald C. Johnson; a son, Thomas E. Johnson of Fayetteville, North Carolina; two daughters, Earlysa D. Simon and her husband Kevin of Worcester and Donnal I. Johnson of Greensboro, North Carolina; a brother, Jason A. Peoples of Fayetteville; three sisters, Earlene Oliver and Alberta Peoples both of Lillington, North Carolina and Mary Lucas of Philadelphia; five grandchildren, Tyler, Tatianna, Olivia, Marcus and Jovaughn; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Anthony T. Johnson and by a brother and sister, James Peoples and Anne Peoples. She was born in Greensboro, North Carlolina, daughter of Earl and Hattie Mae (Pearson) Peoples and moved to Worcester as a young girl, later graduating from North High School. Lillie worked as an Accountant at U-Mass for a few years , was formerly an assistant to the Dean at Central New England College, Lillie worked for Nova Cor as an Computer Technician, Lillie also worked for Westside Nursing Home as an Administrative Assistant. Lillie was a member of Belmont A.M.E. Zion Church, where she was active in her Church Choir and the Mass Choir served as a church steward and volunteered to work with the young people of the church offering career guidance or just a shoulder to lean on. She was a loving person who constantly gave of herself for the betterment of her family, her church and all those around her. Calling hours and Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 10, in Belmont A.M.E. Zion Church, 55 Illinois Street, Worcester, where her family will receive guests from 11 a.m. until 12 noon, with the Funeral Service commencing at Noon.
