Patricia A. "Patty" Eager, 62, of Worcester, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 3rd 2012 in St Francis Home with her devoted family gathered beside her. Patty was born in Worcester a daughter of James J Eager, Sr. and Louise M. (Groccia) Eager; she graduated from Commerce High and has lived here all her life. Patty is survived by the family she loved so much. Two brothers, James J Eager, Jr and his companion Diana Blanchard of Worcester, Robert F. Eager and his companion Joann Mercando of Charlton; a sister, Linda M Gaimari and her husband Pasquale of Worcester; Many nieces, nephews, cousins , extended family, a host of friends and especially her beloved cat Smokey. Patricia worked over 20 years in the business office of St Vincent Hospital before retiring due to illness. Patricia coached softball for many years. She also enjoyed the beach, playing cards and bingo. Patty a full of life women who lived to life to the fullest for her family, and friends. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family, Wednesday, March 7th from 5 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Thursday, March 8th from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:30 am in St Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial in St John Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Program, Umass Memorial Healthcare, 55 Lake Ave North, Worcester 01655. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the 7th floor ICU and staff of St Francis Home for the care compassion and understanding they gave to Patricia during a very difficult time.
