Barbara A. (DeAngelis) Quitadamo, 81, of Worcester, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away Monday, February 27th 2012 with her treasured family gathered beside her. Barbara and her beloved husband for the past 54 years Pasquale "Pat" Quitadamo shared a full and blessed life. Together they lived and raised their family here in Worcester. Besides her husband Pat, Barbara is survived by her three cherished sons, Michael Quitadamo and his wife Kerry of Worcester, Stephen Quitadamo and his wife Marie of Auburn, Paul Quitadamo and his wife Judy of Sunapee, NH; seven grandchildren who loved her so much, Joseph, Thomas, Angelica, Peter, Bryan, Kyle and Timothy; a great grandson, Anthony; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Devoted to her family and caring for them, Barbara also found inspiration in dedication to her Catholic faith and her church, St George's. She served the church in any way she could, including as Eucharistic Minister, and church coordinator, helping select music, and plan church weddings. She was kind and gracious to all who knew her. As someone who spent a lifetime serving and caring for others, Barbara had a sincere and deep appreciation for all who served and cared for her. For all who did, especially as her health declined and during her final days, please know that Barbara "really appreciated it" and her family did as well. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Thursday March 1st from 4 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Friday, from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:00 am in St George Church, 40 Brattle St. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery.
