Jon F. Thayer

Jon F. Thayer, 57 of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at home. Jon is survived by a son, Timothy Thayer of Hudson, NH; a daughter, Jessica Fortier and her husband Garrett of Nashua, NH; his father, Arthur N. Thayer of Grass Valley, CA; a brother, Michael T. Thayer and his wife Patricia of Northborough; two sisters, Susan Thayer and Lyn Denend and her husband Chris all of Menlo Park, CA; three grandchildren, Trenton, Colton and Kensie Fortier; many nieces and nephews. Jon was born in Santa Rosa, California, a son of Gretchen (Yost) Thayer. He graduated from Worcester Academy and later received his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Worcester State College. Jon was a vocational trainer for the Occupational Training Center for over 20 years before his retirement. He played the harmonica with many blues bands and was a motorcycle enthusiast. Services for Jon will be held at a later date and at the convenience of the family.
