Suzanne Denise (Tillett) Patton, died Saturday, January 21, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of thirty-eight years, Stephen T. Patton; their two children, Joshua Patton of Charlston, SC and Aja Frigon of East Falmouth; their adored grandchildren, Bobby and Olivia Frigon. She is also survived by her mother, Ruth (Williams) Tillett; four siblings Robert, Tracey and Mitch Tillett and Laura Whitcomb and her husband Frank; her mother in law, Marjoire Patton; in laws, Kathy and Ron Madden, Bob Patton, Tina Patton and Ray Hendrick; many nieces, nephews and cherished friends. Suzanne was predeceased by her father, Robert Crawford Tillett and by her father in law, Alexander "Todd" Patton. She was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She attended Central Dauphin High School and Pennsylvania State University where she met Steve, the love of her life. In addition to being an amazing wife and mother, Suzanne was active in local politics and environmental issues during the years they lived in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. In 1984, the family relocated to Worcester and quickly became vital members of the community. Suzanne was a leader in many civic activities. She was the founder of Worcester Walk for Life, advocate for Worcester public schools, President of Girls, Inc., a long-standing board member of REC (Regional Environmental Council), Democratic Woman of the year in 2000 and recently received the United Way Women's Initiative Lois B. Green Award. As vice president of development at The Family Health Center she was a tireless advocate for the under-served communities of Worcester. In addition, Suzanne served as campaign manager during Steve's twelve-year role as Worcester City Councilman Suzanne truly loved everyone, her genuine interest and unfailing kindness were legendary and her charm was undeniable. Her gentle spirit was contagious to all who surrounded her.
