Stephen D'Ambra, 44 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at UMASS Hospital surrounded by his loving family after a sudden illness. Stephen is survived by his devoted wife of twenty years, Beth A. (Ostrowsky) D'Ambra; two sons, Timothy and Stephen D'Ambra, Jr.; three daughters, Nicole, Mia and Arianna D'Ambra; a grandson, Ayvien Thonpson; his parents, Joseph and Beverly (Kinnear) D'Ambra all of Worcester; three brothers, Michael D'Ambra of West Boylston, Joseph D'Ambra of Worcester and Richard D'Ambra of Sutton; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Stanley and Judy Ostrowsky and a brother-in-law, John Ostrowsky all of Smithfield, NJ; many nieces, nephews and close friends. Stephen was born in Worcester and has lived here all his life. He attended North High School and later received his certification as a Computer Technician from Clark University. He was the owner and operator of Mike's Donut Shop in Northborough for six years but previously had worked there for eighteen years. He also worked as a computer technician for various company but most recently IAtrics, as well as for Monster.com. Stephen was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Ann Parish. He was a walking encyclopedia of Music. He also loved sports especially baseball and football. His greatest enjoyment in life was being with his family and friends. He was lost too soon but will never be forgotten. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Services for Stephen will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St., Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 26th from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
