Natalena R. "Nat" (Bargnesi) DiGioia, 98, of Worcester formerly of Ward St passed away Sunday, January 8th 2012 in St Vincent Hospital after a period of declining health. Natalena's husband Victor M. DiGioia passed away in 1981. She is survived by her son Panteleo "Leo" DiGioia and his wife Sharon "Sherry" Sierra of Worcester; six grandchildren, Linda Grenache, James , Jessie, Panteleo, Christopher and Bruce DiGioia; 13 Great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and extended family. A grandson, Michael DiGioia and three brothers, Teleo, Phillip and Raymond Bargnesi all pre deceased her. She was born in Worcester a daughter of Anthony and Ida Peruzzini Bargnesi. Nat grew up in Worcester, raised her family and in retirement moved to Clearwater Florida for eight years before returning to Worcester. Natalena was an accomplished tailor working for several area businesses including Al Vuona's Men's wear, Bonardi's Tuxedo's and Howard's Clothes. At one time Natalena and her husband owned the former Trumbull Tailors. Nat enjoyed Ballroom and line dancing. An Italian Mother who cherished her heritage; she loved to cook, bake and take care of her family. She especially enjoyed teaching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as well as others her cooking recipes. She was a warm and energetic woman who enjoyed life and could light up any room she entered. A period of calling hours will be held Wednesday, January 11th from 9:30 to 11:00 am in The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. A service will follow at 11:00 am. Burial next to her husband Victor will follow in St John Cemetery.
