Antoinette L. (Colangelo) Winters Sciaraffa, 89 of Virginia Beach, VA formerly of Worcester passed away on Friday, December 30, 2011 at Beth Sholom Village surrounded by her loving family. Antoinette's first husband, Daniel J. Winters passed away November 1957. Her second husband, Anthony J. Sciaraffa passed away in September 1979. She is survived by a son, Daniel J. Winters and his wife Diana of Waterloo, SC; a daughter, Dian Winters Rosnov and her husband Steven of Virginia Beach, VA; a daughter-in-law, Kathryn Winters of Greenwood, SC; two sisters, Elizabeth Monfreda of Worcester and Phyllis Leszuk of Farmington, CT; four grandchildren, Duane Winters, Kevin Winters and his wife Audrey all of Waterloo, SC, Jennifer Winters of Seminole, FL; Danielle Rosnov Castelar and her husband Carlos of Bristow, VA, four great grandchildren, Natalie and Alora Winters, Daniel Winters Borrego, Lilah Castelar; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son, William G. Winters, two brothers, Julio and Vincent Colangelo; a sister Angelina Roach. Antoinette was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Sergio and Jenny (DeFeudis) Colangelo and has lived there until 1964 when she moved to Lakeville, Ma with her husband Tony. She and her husband Tony moved to Florida in 1973 and later moved to Virginia Beach, VA in 2003. Antoinette was a secretary and bookkeeper for Campanelli Brothers Corporation retiring after twenty years. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel- St. Ann Parish. She was also a member of the Order of Sons of Italy, Cypress Lakes Association of West Palm Beach, Florida as well as the Beth Sholom Home. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, singing, spending time with her family and especially cooking for the Holidays. She was very active in the community volunteering at hospitals and working for the Democratic Party. Services for Antoinette will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Ann Parish, 24 Mulberry Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held on Friday, January 6th from 4-7 p.m. in the funeral home.
