Vivian T. (Richards) Healey, 83, of Worcester, formerly of Eastern Avenue, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at Holy Trinity Long Term Care and Rehabilitation Center. Her husband, Richard X. Healey, predeceased her in 1991. Vivian is survived by a son, Mark S. Healey and his wife Ruth A. Healey; a daughter, Teresa E. Pike and her husband Richard J. Pike, all of Worcester; a brother, Gene Richards of Rutland; a sister, Judith Anderson of Worcester; five grandchildren, Kira, Cory, Richard, Joseph and Tarah; two great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Alphe and Margaret (Whalen) Richards. Having graduated from Commerce High School, she has lived here all her life. Vivian worked as a Bank at Work Clerk, for over fifteen years at the former Mechanics Bank, before retiring in 1993. She had also worked as a clerk for Morgan Construction. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and was at one time a member of the former Our Lady of Fatima Parish. Vivian enjoyed reading, singing and vacationing with her sister and her niece. She also learned, while living with her son, that she was an animal lover; and she loved her new found friendship with their cat and dog. Above all else she loved her family and was always happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Calling hour for Vivian will be held today, Thursday, December 8, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral will be held on Friday, December 9, from the funeral home, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove Street, Worcester.
