Mary E. (Majors) Olson, 97, of Boylston died peacefully Tuesday December 6, 2011 in the Christopher House surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of 55 years George T. Olson died in 1994. Mary is survived by five sons; George P. Olson and his wife Eleanor, Peter P. Olson, John P. Olson and his wife Sandra, all of Boylston, Thomas R. Olson and his wife Marsha of Rutland, and Andrew J. Olson and his wife Alice of Holden, two daughters Mary E. Granger and Barbara R. Seed, and her husband Robert all of Boylston. Mary also leaves 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 sisters Margaret Feeney of Portland Maine, Catherine Hall of Syracuse N.Y. and many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by two brothers Joseph and Edward Majors, and a sister, Emma Bradley. Mary was born in Portland, Maine daughter of the late John P. and Mary Agnes (Feeney) Majors and came to the Worcester area many years ago. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School. She worked for the W. T. Grant Company for several years. She enjoyed being a homemaker. Mary was a long time member of St Mary of the Hills Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, including her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary's funeral will be held Saturday with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM in St Mary of the Hills Church 630 Cross St. Boylston. Calling hours in the funeral home are from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Friday. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston. Contributions may be made to St Mary of the Hills Church Building Fund at the above address, or to the Boylston Firefighters Association Ambulance Fund P. O. Box 634 Boylston, MA. 01505.
