Ralph A. Masiello

Ralph A. Masiello, 100, died peacefully on Saturday November 26, at the Christopher House. He was surrounded by his loving family. His wife, Christine(Turco), of 65 years, predeceased him in 2000. He leaves four children, Frank and his wife Lynis Masiello, Shirley and her husband Daniel Barlar, Joanne and her husband James Lennon and Judith and her husband Stanley Grynsel. 9 grandchildren, Joel, Matthew, David, Taze, Tanya, Stephanie, Jennifer, Angela and James. He had 9 great grandchildren, Emily, Rachel, Joel, Sonny, Todd, Luke, Timothy, Riley and Andrew. He is survived by his brother Rudolph Masiello and sisters, Theresa Salemmo, Mary Zereski, Yolanda Landry and Rose Mongeon. He was predeceased by siblings, Angelo, Frank, Anthony, Rita, Julia and Lucy. He leaves many nieces and nephews. Ralph retired from Franzen Shoe Co. in 1976. He and Christine enjoyed many years together travelling at home and abroad. Their life revolved around their family. Pop, as he was affectionately called, entertained his wife daily with rides to their children's homes and various eateries throughout the county. He was truly loved by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They could not have asked for a better Pop. He was there for them always and had the unique quality of making each one feel special. Equal to his love for his family was his love for his God, Jehovah. He served as an elder in the Burncoat Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He spent 70 years helping others learn about the Bible and touched many lives. A special thanks goes out to the Christopher House who cared for Pop in his final years, we are very grateful. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of his wife Christine. A memorial service will be held at the Oxford Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 52 Old Webster Road, Oxford MA on Saturday, December 3 at 1:00 p.m. Private burial will be held at the family's convenience.
