John Morgan Callahan, 81, of Hudson, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Frankfort, New York on August 22, 1930, the son of the late John L. and Helen (Rauscher) Callahan. John attended Wentworth Institute before enlisting in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, after his honorable discharge he graduated from the Hotel Management School at Cornell University. Besides being a Food Service Management/Design Consultant, he was the Director of Food Service at various Universities and Colleges including; Boston College, Ithaca College, State University of New York at Binghamton and University of California at Davis. John in survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Dolores (Izzo) Callahan; a daughter, Mary Erin Andrysick and her husband Doug of Princeton; five sons, Sean P. Callahan and his wife Paula of Northborough, Kerry M. Callahan of Shirley, Christopher G. Callahan and his wife Mary Margaret of Leominster, Lawrence J. Callahan and his wife Kari Lyn of Auburn and Father James Brien Callahan, Pastor of Saint Anna Church in Leominster; eight grandchildren, Brien and Daniel Andrysick, Sean M. Callahan, Kieran and Shea Callahan, Cameron, Patrick and Trevor Callahan. He also leaves a brother, James R. Callahan and his wife Elizabeth of Albany, NY; a brother in law, Charles Tomajer, a sister-in-law, Kathleen Lysogorski and her husband Glenn and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Jean Adams and Mickey Tomajer. John was a member of Saint Anna Catholic Church in Leominster and served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Calling hours for John will be held on Friday, November 25, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in Saint Anna's Church, 194 Lancaster Street, Leominster, MA. (Route 117) His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 26, at 10 a.m. in Saint Anna's Church, with his son Father James B. Callahan, as principal celebrant.
