Anelle (Plauska) (Kurmis) Molis, 95, of Worcester passed away peacefully, Friday, November 18th 2011 with family by her side at Knollwood Nursing Center. Anelle was born September 30 1916 in Worcester, daughter of Casimir and Magdalene (Lingaitis) Plauska. At age 2 her mother passed away and she and her two siblings were separated. Anelle was adopted by relatives, Anthony and Valerie Kurmis and brought to Poland and Lithuania to live. At age 20 Anelle returned to Worcester and lived with Anna and Pius Sidabra who were instrumental in reuniting all three siblings. The three, Anelle, Bernice and Tony were inseperable during their remaining years. Bernice Mainelis and Tony Dailida died in 1997 and 1998 respectively. In 1941 she married Joseph Molis who passed away in 2005. She is survived by her devoted daughter Susan Galeucia and her husband Linwood Galeucia of Bedford New Hampshire; two grandchildren, Jill Galeucia of Manchester NH and Michael Galeucia and his wife Angela Galeucia of Scarborough ME; two great grandchildren Hannah and Nicholas Galeucia of Scarborough ME.; several nieces and nephews and especially John Dailida who was extraordinary kind and loving, like a son. She was a member of St. Casimir's Church , Maironis Park and the ladies Garment Workers Union. She worked for more than 30 years as a millinary worker for Paul Hats in Worcester. Anelle's whole life was about caring for and spending time with her family in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine and always lived as she said by "giving to others with a warm hand instead of a cold hand." The family would like to thank Pat, Assunta, Amy, Rosa, Angelica, and Kathy, as well as the staff at Knollwood Nursing Center for the care, compassion and comfort they gave to Anelle. Anelle's funeral will be held Tuesday November 22, 2011 at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street with a Mass a 11:00 A.M. in St. John's Church, 40 Temple Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. prior to leaving for church.
