Gail (Tainter) Popillo, 56, of Boylston passed away Monday November 7th 2011 surrounded by cherished family after a 6 year courageous battle with breast cancer. Gail is survived by her devoted husband of 16 years, Anthony J. Popillo; Three stepsons, T.J. Popillo in Carolina, Jamie Popillo of Yarmouth and Shannon Popillo of Hyannis; along with three grandsons. Her mother, Ardeth "Bunny" (Clifford) Tainter of West Boylston, her father Robert Tainter passed away June 12th. A brother, Paul H. Tainter of Worcester, three sisters; Cheryl Newton of Slidell, La, June Pugliese of West Boylston and Michelle Christmas of Jaffrey NH; Nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Gail was born March 3, 1955, in Worcester; she grew up in Shrewsbury graduating from Shrewsbury High, and the Bancroft School of Massage and has lived in Boylston for the past 16 years. Gail worked as Executive Chef for the Adcare Hospital in Worcester for the past 20 years. She was also a certified Massage Therapist. Gail was a member of Freedom Worship Center in West Boylston. She enjoyed Fishing, Cooking, Photography and travel. Her most precious enjoyment in life was her husband, family and friends. She could brighten a room with her big smile and outgoing personality. She will be truly missed. Memorial services will be held Saturday November 12th at 10:00 am in the Freedom Worship Center, Rte 12, West Boylston St. West Boylston. Burial will be private.
