Mary (Bodinizzo) Tomasiello, 91, formerly of 3 Kenilworth Rd passed away peacefully Sunday, October 23, 2011 in Christopher House after a period of declining health. Mary's husband of 57 years, Judge Anthony N. Tomasiello Sr. passed away in 2008; She is survived by her devoted son and daughter in law, Anthony N. Tomasiello, Jr and Janet Amorello, both of Holden; her grandson she so adored, Samuel A. Tomasiello; three beloved sisters, Frances Walkowiak, Theresa Paretti and her husband Robert and Annette Pellegrino, all whom so dearly assisted in her care during her declining health; a brother Joseph Bodinizzo and his wife Gloria; two sisters in law, Pasqua and Theresa Bodinizzo; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends. Three brothers, Peter, Michael and John Bodinizzo predeceased her. Mary was born in Worcester, a daughter of Pasquale and Maria Nicolette (Cappabianca) Bodinizzo. She graduated from Commerce High School and has lived in Shrewsbury most of her life. In her youth, Mary worked in Government service. She then assisted her husband in his law practice and served as his secretary for personal notices which he frequently sent to friends and family when he was appointed to the bench. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, its Golden Years Club, St. Anne's Golden Age Club and the Shrewsbury Women's Club. Mary was an accomplished golfer and member of the Indian Meadow and Pleasant Valley Country Clubs. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and bowling. Mary's inspiration in life was her husband and family. She found life's enjoyment in caring for and being with her entire family. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Wednesday, October 26th from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be Thursday October 27th from the funeral home with a mass at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Resource Center, 71 Sterling Street, West Boylston, MA 01583 or to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Restoration fund, 24 Mulberry Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
