Anne M Colon

Anne M. (Hegel) Colon, 71, of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly forty-four years, Anthony J. Colon; a daughter, Jennifer A. Colon and her fiancé Steve J. Donas of Shrewsbury; two nieces and seven nephews. Anne was born in New York City, New York, daughter of Raymond and Mary (Killbride) Hegel. She graduated from Saint Joseph High School in New Jersey and lived in the New York/New Jersey area, before moving to Worcester forty-three years ago. Anne enjoyed her family and was a passionate reader, she enjoyed cooking and doing crochet. She played Mah Jongg with a group of friends, on a weekly basis for over twenty-five years. Calling hours for Anne will be held on Wednesday, October 19, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.
