Larry P. "Buster" Zona, 46 of Worcester, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2011 at St. Vincent's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Larry is survived by his wife of ten years, Brenda A. (Daigneault) Zona; two sons, Daniel Daigneault and Larry P. Zona, Jr.; three daughters, Christina, Ashley & Rachel Zona; his mother, Mary Ann (Tuccio) Zona all of Worcester; a brother, Michael Zona and his wife Katherine of Worcester; two sisters, Tina Prendiville and her husband James of Worcester and Gina Moore and her husband Michael of Auburn; six grandchildren and three grandchildren on the way; many nieces and nephews. Larry was born in Worcester, a son of the late Larry Zona. He attended North High School and has lived here all his life. He worked as a truck driver for various local companies. Larry was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. He loved fishing, camping, country music, playing cards and darts. He was also a diehard Red Sox and Patriots fan. He loved being with his family and was a devoted son to his mother. Services for Larry will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 28 Mulberry St., Worcester. Burial will follow in St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. A period of calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2011 from 4-7 p.m. in the funeral home. Flowers are welcome.
