Rita R Raines

Rita (Paulauskas) R. Raines, 90, of Wallingford, formerly of Worcester, passed away peacefully at Masonicare Home, Health and Hospice, Friday August 26, 2011. She was the wife of the late John A. Raines for 65 years. She was born in Worcester, MA on September 2, 1920, the daughter of Anthony and Sophie Paulauskas. She is survived by her daughter Arlene and her husband Ronald Boudreau of Wallingford CT; three grandchildren Elizabeth, Amy, Michael and his wife Renee; five great grandchildren, Matthew, Katie, Emily, Abigail and Rachael; three brothers, William, Anthony and Albert and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Sophie, Amelia Deknis, and Aldona Obraitis and her niece, Nancy Mayer. Rita owned and operated the former Point Rok Beach with her husband for many years, She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends at the Village at Mariner's Point in East Haven, CT where she spent two very happy years. Funeral and calling hours on Wednesday morning, as follows: A calling hour for Rita will be held on Wednesday morning, August 31, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester; followed by her Funeral Mass at 12 Noon in Saint John's Church, 44 Temple Street, Worcester. Interment after Mass in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester.
