Gary L. Salo

Gary L. Salo, 59 of Worcester, formerly of Northborough, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2011 at Marlborough Healtcare Center surrounded by his devoted family. Gary is survived by three daughters, Tiffany Salo of Worcester, Shannon Ware of Webster and Mallory Donnelly of Malrborough; a brother, Alan Salo of Northborough; three sisters, Cheryl Durso of Whitinsville, Darlene Ramuno of Douglas and Judy Morgan of Charlton; seven grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Gary was born and raised in Northborough, a son of the late Reino E. and Doris J. (Kennedy) Salo. He attended Algonquin Regional High School and in his late teenage years he was drafted to attend baseball's spring training. Gary worked as a construction worker independently. He loved working on cars and doing handy work. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing pitch and going to the beach especially Seabrook Beach. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 4-7 P.M. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 31st at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home immediately following visitation.
