Theresa DiTaranto

Theresa F. (Capalbo) DiTaranto, 80, of Worcester passed away peacefully Wednesday August 24, 2011 . Theresa is survived by her best friend and beloved husband of sixty one years, Vito M. "Champ" DiTaranto, her brother Joseph Capalbo, two granddaughters Angela M. DiTaranto and Maria L. (DiTaranto) Gray and her husband Sean, two great granddaughters Julianna and Gabriella, also daughter in law Susan M DiTaranto, many cousins nephews, nieces and in laws. Theresa was predeceased by her son Angelo V. DiTaranto, and three sisters; Christine Russo, Mary Campanale, and Rita Ferraro. Theresa was born in Worcester daughter of the late Louis and Albina (Tarantino) Capalbo and lived her all her life.Theresa worked for the New England Telephone Company for many years before she retired. She was a long time member of St. Stephens Church. She enjoyed traveling and dancing with her husband and her weekly card games. She never missed out on her daily walks even if it was in high heels! Most importantly she enjoyed being with her family and friends. Terry's caring ways and big heart will be missed by many. Theresa's funeral will be held Wednesday with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in St. Stephens Church 357 Grafton St. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no Calling hours. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 128 Providence St. Worcester, MA. 01604. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. is assisting the family with arrangements.
