Frank J. Perrone, 86, of Worcester died peacefully Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years Marie G. (Fusaro) Perrone; a son Dr. David Perrone of PA; daughter Ann Marie Walton and her husband Roger of Worcester; daughter Gayle Petty and her husband Joseph of Worcester; "adopted" daughter Christine Caron and her husband Norman of Hubbardston; a brother Raymond J. Perrone and his wife Barbara of Worcester; six grandchildren Amanda, Matthew, Haley, Nicole, Joseph, Andrew; a great granddaughter Ariana; and many nephews and nieces. Frank was predeceased by three brothers, Dr. Samuel Perrone, Alfred Perrone, and John Perrone, and two sisters, Florence Grady and Helen Mercurio. Frank was born in Worcester son of the late Matilda (Interiere) Perrone. He attended Worcester Public Schools. Frank was the owner of Perrone's Restaurant on Shrewsbury St. for many years before he retired. Prior to that, he was the founder and owner of Willow Farms. Frank was a member of St. Anne's Church, a member of the former St. Margaret Mary Parish, and a long time member of the Knights of Columbus. Frank enjoyed going to Florida, being at the beach, and quohoaging on Cape Cod with his family. Frank loved cooking for his family and friends on holidays and special occasions. He loved to dance, play bocci, and enjoyed going on cruises. Most of all, he enjoyed his family and especially the grand kids. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Frank's funeral will be held Saturday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in the Church of St. Anne 130 Boston Turnpike Shrewsbury. Calling hours will be held from 5PM to 8PM on Friday evening in the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery.
