Adelino "Lee" Crespo, 79, of Worcester passed away Sunday, August 14th 2011, less than 10 months after the wife, he was devoted to for 54 years, Diana E. (Razzano) Crespo passed away. Lee was born July 30, 1932, in Botoa, Portugal, a son of Antonio R. and Inez (dos Santos) Crespo. His family immigrated to the United States in 1936, and grew up in Worcester. Lee graduated from High School joined the U.S. Army to serve his country during the Korean Conflict and has lived here all his life. Upon returning from the War, Lee met and married the love of his life for 54 years, Diana E. (Razzano) Crespo who passed away last October 2nd. He has lived here all his life. Lee is survived by his daughter, Denise Villane and her husband John of Worcester; four grandchildren, Kevin Hall and his wife Monica, Kristina Herman, Jessica Hall and Joseph Herman, Jr.; a brother, Albert R. Crespo and his wife Judy; a sister, Elizabeth "Liz" Butke and her husband James; a brother in law, Joseph Carlson; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A daughter, Deborah Hall passed away May 20th 2005, and a sister, Benilda Carlson also pre deceased him. Lee worked for Morgan Construction more than 32 years retiring as shipping / receiving supervisor. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. He liked to watch sports, especially watching his grandchildren play baseball and softball. Lee was a devoted husband who cherished his wife and family finding his greatest joy with and around them. Last October when his wife Diana passed, a great piece of his world passed away with her. His family was everything to him. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Wednesday, August 17th from 5 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral will be held Thursday, August 18th from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St. Burial will follow next to his wife in St John Cemetery.
