Timothy C. Scavone, Jr., 33 of Worcester, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at home. Tim is survived by his parents, Donna (Camarra) Scavone of Worcester and Timothy C. Scavone and his wife Michelle of Northborough; two brothers, David V. Scavone and his wife Jessica and brother Stephen J. Scavone and his fiancé Jennifer Richardson all of Spencer; a niece Lola Scavone and a nephew, Angelo Scavone; his maternal grandmother, Pauline "Pie""Camarra of Shrewsbury; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Timothy was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Vincent J. Camarra; his paternal grandparents, James J. and Elizabeth A. Scavone and by his faithful dog, Derby. He was born in Worcester and graduated from Saint Peter-Marian High School and attended University of Rhode Island. Tim was a standout football player while at St. Peter-Marian H.S., where he was selected team captain twice and a member of the All Central Ma Conference Team and a standout performer and teammate on the squad that won five consecutive Super Bowl championships. He was an avid sports fan of all N.E. teams, especially the Patriots. Tim worked for Marois Bros. Construction and was a member of the Laborers Union Local 243. He was a "huge" fan of Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead and never missed one of their shows when they were in town. Calling hour for Tim will be held on Wednesday, August 17 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 18 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester (Please proceed directly to church).
