Jean Horgan

Jean C. (Patterson) Horgan, 50, of Worcester died unexpectedly Tuesday August 9, 2011 in St. Vincent Hospital after becoming ill at home. Jean is survived by her husband John J. Horgan of Worcester, two sons; John Horgan Jr. of Newton, and Daniel R. Horgan of Worcester, one brother Richard Patterson of Auburn and a sister Kathryn Patterson of Webster, 2 grandchildren Lauren and Samantha Horgan,a close friend Matthew Hibbard and several nephews and nieces. Jean was born in Worcester daughter of the late Richard and Kathryn (Reilly) Patterson and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of South High School. Jean worked at Assumption College in the food service department for many years. She attended St Peters Church. Jean enjoyed playing bingo,and a good day at the Casino. But most of all she loved being with her family especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. A funeral service for Jean will be held Friday at 10:30AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. A period of Calling hours will be held from 8:30AM to 10:30AM. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. Contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
