Antoinette "Ann" (Evangelista) Fournier, 88, of Worcester died unexpectedly on Saturday July 30. 2011 at home. Her Husband Francis Fournier pre deceased her.Antoinette is survived by her loving children; her daughter Marguerite Simmarano, and her son Joseph M. Fournier both of Worcester, a brother John Evangelista of Worcester, and a sister Christine Iaccarino and her husband Carl of Shrewsbury, two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. Ann was predeceased by three brothers; Lawrence, Leo, and Anthony, and three sisters; Jennie Ciociolo, Phyllis Ursoleo, and Theresa Vigliotti. Antoinette was born in Worcester daughter of the late Joseph and Margharita (Setta) Evangelista and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of David Hale Fanning Girls Trade School. Ann worked for the Worcester Knitting Company many years ago. Most of her life she worked as a cook at the Parkway Diner before she retired. She attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church. Antoinette enjoyed being with her family and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Ann's funeral will be held Wednesday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church 24 Mulberry St. A period of calling hours will be held from 9:00AM to 10:30AM in the funeral home on Wednesday prior to leaving for church. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
