Rose M. (Laconte) Pellegrino, 91 of Shrewsbury, formerly of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Rose Monahan Hospice Residence, surrounded by her loving family. Rose's husband, Joseph J. Pellegrino, Sr. passed away in 1977. She is survived by two sons, Joseph J. Pellegrino, Jr. and his wife Susan of Basking Ridge, NJ and Donald J. Pellegrino and his wife Deborah of Spencer; her daughter, Carol A. Loader and her husband Joseph of Northborough; a brother, Carmine Laconte of Worcester; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son, Robert J. Pellegrino; a brother, Philip Laconte; three sisters, Mary Laconte, Yolanda Abruzzese and Theresa Lavin. Rose was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Anna (Ferro) Laconte and has lived here most of her life. She later moved to Shrewsbury and had resided there for nineteen years. She graduated from Girls Trade School. Rose was a homemaker. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Ann's Parish and loved to play bingo. Rose's funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 12 noon in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 27th from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to the Mass.
