Julio Caez, 65 of Worcester, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2011 at home surrounded by his devoted family. Julio is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Enilda Ortiz; four daughters, Letty Ortiz, Yvette Caez-Maldonado, Evelyn Caez and Juana Caez all of Worcester; two sons, Julio A. Caez of New York and Pascual Caez of Worcester; a brother, three sisters, twenty grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother. Julio was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, a son of the late Pascual Caez and Luz M. Hernandez. He moved to Worcester 1974 where he has resided ever since. Julio worked as a machinist for L. Farber Leather Goods for fifteen years. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church. Julio was an avid Yankee's Fan and also loved to play TV Yankee games. He enjoyed spending time with his family, being the life of the party and was known to be the clown of the family. Julio's family would like to thank Dr. Roger Luckman, his Home Health Aide, Camille and his Hospice Nurse, Lynn for the outstanding care and compassion given to him during the difficult times. Services for Julio will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
