David I. Walsh III, 41 of Worcester formerly of Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 2011 in his home. David had endured 22 years of Schizophrenia with fortitude and a caring approach towards life. David is survived by his mother, Linda M. (Davis) Walsh of Worcester; two daughters, Mikalha King and Mariah King both of Worcester; a half-brother, Darin Bedard of Oklahoma City, OK and two half-sisters Stephanie Prandy of Oklahoma City, OK and Wendy Morio of Oxford; a very special cousin and best friend Jamie Liljegren, along with many very special cousins, aunts and uncles. David was born in Worcester, a son of the late, David I. Walsh, Jr. He later moved to Colorado where he graduated from Pueblo High School. David was a brown belt in Karate and an amateur pool player winning many tournaments. David will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was a man of few words, a great soul and a kind person to all people that he met and always willing to help someone less fortunate. A funeral service for David will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 from 4-7 P.M. in the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be held privately.
