Frank V. Toscano, 90, of Charlton, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011, in The Auburn Life Care Center. His wife, Dolly (Holstead) predeceased him in 2000. Frank leaves his sister, Dolores Russo of Yonkers, NY; a sister in law, Judi Toscano of Worcester; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Anthony in 2006. Frank was born in Acri, Italy son of Dominick and Louisa (Elia) Toscano. He came to the United States as a young boy and then served this nation proudly in the Counter Intelligence Corp of the United States Army during World War II. Frank worked for many years and retired from Paul Revere Insurance Company in Worcester. He was a member of The American Legion and Charlton Historical Society. He enjoyed hunting, raising hunting dogs and was an avid gardener. Calling hours for Frank will be held on Tuesday, June 28, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 29, from the funeral home, with a Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Saint Ann Church, 24 Mulberry Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Contributions may be made instead to the Disabled American Veterans or to the Life-Care Center of Auburn
