Anne M. (Spillane) Astrella, of Holden passed away Saturday, June 11th 2011 with her devoted husband by her side. Anne is survived by her husband and partner of 54 years, James R. Astrella; three cherished sisters, Mary "Rita" Williams and Dorothy Saucier both of Worcester and Margaret Tower of Bellingham; many Nieces, Nephews and friends. A sister, Eileen Woodward pre deceased her. Anne was born in Worcester, a daughter of Daniel A. and Mary T. (Ceffalo) Spillane. She graduated from Commerce High School and the New England School of Business. She later attended Clark University. Anne has lived in Holden most of her life. Anne worked over 25 years as Regional Manager for the TADD Temporaries before retiring in 1988. She was a member of St John's Church, the Worcester Chamber of Commerce, and the Better Business Bureau. She enjoyed reading, shopping, the beach, frequent trips and winters in Florida. She was an independent woman who cherished her husband and the times they spent together. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family, Monday, June 13th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Tuesday June 14th from the funeral home with a Mass at 11:30 am in St John Church, 44 Temple St. Entombment will follow in St John Mausoleum.
