Michelina (DePari) Santora, 93, of Shrewsbury passed away peacefully Monday, June 6th 2011 with her family at her side after a period of declining health. Michelina was born on November 7th 1917, in Worcester a daughter of Anthony and Philomena (Pasquerella) DePari. She grew up in Worcester, met and married her husband Ralph Santora who passed away in 1985. Together ,they raised their family in Worcester and lived there most of their lives. Michelina is survived by her two devoted sons and their wives, Richard R. Santora and his wife Janice of Shrewsbury, Don Santora and his wife Kim of Naples Florida; four cherished grandchildren, Richard Santora and his wife Michelle, Paul Santora and his wife Tara, Carla Brady and her husband David, and Nicholas Santora; five great grandchildren; a stepsister, Mae Robo; many nieces, nephews and extended family. Michelina was a member of a large family who pre deceased her, a brother, Nicholas DePari, three sisters Mary McDonald, Ann Hills, and Philomena Capurso; step siblings, Mary Jane Cavanaugh, Raffaela Williams, Armando, Joseph, Jerry and Dr. Charles Buono; Michelina, as all great Italian mother's, cherished her family. She loved to cook, care and be with them as much as she could. Michelina most enjoyed the times she spent on vacations and winters in Miami with her husband Ralph and her frequent trips to Naples Florida to be with her son Don and his family. She was a true inspiration to her family and will be greatly missed. Michelina's funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 10th at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Mt Carmel -St Ann Church, 24 Mulberry St. The family would like those attending to go directly to church. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mt Carmel Restoration fund, 24 Mulberry St. Worcester 01604.
