Nancy M. (Hoban) Shippole, 73 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 6, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family. Nancy is survived by her three devoted daughters, Mary Elizabeth Shippole of Princeton, NJ, Anna Brabazon and her husband Steven of Sleepy Hollow, NY and Jennifer Shippole of New York City, NY; two grandchildren, John Patrick and Jenna Rose Brabazon; two nieces, Elizabeth Spingler of Somerville, MA and Christine Barrows of Princeton, MA; two cousins, Kathleen and Robert Armstrong of Leonia, NJ. She also leaves her dearest and closest friends in laugther and tears, The Colorio's, Fratantonio's and the Shippole's in particular The Shippole Women; three brothers , Joseph, Edward and Robert Drelinger, their loving wives and children. She is predeceased by her foster parents, Ida and Eduardo Cirafella; her beloved sister, Rose Marie (Drelinger) Hodgson. Nancy was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Nora Hoban and has lived here all her life. She graduated from Commerce High School and later received her Associates Degree in English from Assumption College. Nancy has worked as an insurance agent all her life and recently with Shea & Poor Insurance until her last well day. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church where she sang in the church choir. Nancy was a member of The Botanical Garden's; her favorite flowers were hydrangeas, pink and white roses. She was also a member of the Worcester Art Museum and the Historical Society. She loved history especially family history. She loved talking walks through Elm Park and visiting Manhattan where she would always stop for her favorite hot dog. Nancy lived at Salisbury Crag for most for her life and was an active member of the greater neighborhood association. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Koury Family for forty years of friendship, love and support. Nancy's funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. All friends and relatives are invited to a prayer vigil and tribute to Nancy on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at the Highland House Gazebo. Flowers are welcome.
