Alice M. (Landry) Gingras, 102 of Worcester passed away Wednesday, June 1st 2011 with her family by her side. Alice was born May 11th 1909, in South Ashburnham a one of 10 children born to Ulic and Clara (Morriseau) Landry. She was raised in Gardner and attended Gardner public schools and has lived in Worcester most of her life. Alice's husband Albert A. Gingras passed away in June 20, 1967. She is survived by her devoted son and daughter in law, Richard and Nancy Lee Gingras with who she lived; four grandsons; six great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren: Many nieces, nephews' extended family and friends. During the years Alice was employed she worked for both the Blaire House and St Francis Homes before retiring. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, St Joseph Church. A former member of its Women's guild and the ladies of St Ann. Alice enjoyed playing Bingo. She enjoyed her interaction with family and the comfort of the times she could share with them and in their company. Alice's funeral will be held Saturday, June 4th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St with a Mass at 10 am in St Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton St Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Friday, June 3rd from 4 pm to 7 pm in the funeral home.
