Elias "Lou" A. Husson, II, 44, of North Grafton, passed away in his home, surrounded by his loving family and friends, after a courageous battle with acute myelogenous leukemia. Lou is survived by his beloved mother, Ruth (Salvidio) Husson; his four siblings, a sister, Lorna M. D'Addio and her husband Peter of Naples, Florida, a brother, John E. Husson and his wife Sally of Dudley, another sister, Sandra L. Aramony and her husband Donald of Shrewsbury and another brother, Andrew E. Husson and his wife Tonia of Worcester; two nieces, Cassandra and Tiffany Husson; a nephew, Tommy Aramony; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Lou was born in Worcester, son of the late Elias A. Husson, who predeceased him in 2000. He grew up in North Grafton, graduating from Grafton High School and attended Assumption College in Worcester. He later graduated from Toyota University. He began his twenty-eight year career working at Harr Toyota when he was just 16 years old. He stayed with Harr and became a technician when he was 19; he soon matriculated in Toyota University and within a short time he became a Master Technician and the go-to-guy at Harr. He is noted in many instances as being the first technician in the country to identify a problem in a vehicle, and then he would work with engineers to identify the fixes that would ultimately become technical bulletins distributed to all dealers. He was a member of Saint George Orthodox Cathedral. He enjoyed boating, fishing and riding motorcycles. He has been fortunate to have been blessed with life-long friends, Michael Jacobson, Michael Gamas and Joe Hogan, who were like brothers to him. Lou's family would like to thank his nurses for their exceptional care. They showed Lou love, compassion and friendship, throughout his illness. Calling hours for Lou will be held tonight, Friday, June 3, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., with a Trisagion Service at 6:45 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. There will also be a calling hour on Saturday morning, June 4, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. in Saint George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna Street, Worcester, followed by his Funeral Service at 10 a.m. in the Cathedral In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Saint George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna Street, Worcester or to the Bone Marrow Unit at UMass-Memorial, in care of The Foundation, 333 South Street, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
