Raymond V. Marchant passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2011 with his loving wife by his side, in the Lutheran Healthcare Center of Worcester, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Jacquelyn (VonVillas) Marchant and four daughters, Victoria Pugliese and her husband Mark, Lisette Rosen and her husband Josh, Alexis Reagan and her husband Andrew and Margaryta Lindi and her husband Matt, along with eight beautiful grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Janet Boggess. Ray was born July 7, 1927 in Bedford England. He was educated in England as a Mechanical Design Engineer where he worked as an apprentice at Plessey Company. Ray immigrated to the United States via Canada with RCA and worked in various Engineering Management capacities for Raytheon, Honeywell and other high tech computer start ups, including Incoterm, where he assisted in designing one of the first Banking ATM machines. Ray loved to travel and enjoyed reading, gardening and woodworking. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Funeral and burial services will be private. The family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses and caregivers at the Lutheran Healthcare Center.
