M Wayne Portosa

M. Wayne Portosa, 57, of Shrewsbury passed away peacefully Sunday, May 29th, 2011 in his home surrounded by his devoted family after a long illness. Wayne is survived by several family members including his mother, Italia (Silvestri) Portosa. He grew up in Worcester and later moved to Shrewsbury with his family. He enjoyed spending time at home with his family and his pets. He loved animals. He loved cars of all kinds especially Mustangs. He also enjoyed Drag Racing, NASCAR, snow plowing and fishing and was also a weightlifting enthusiast. Wayne enjoyed restoring cars and was a mechanical genius. He also rode his motorcycle in his spare time with his friends. Wayne worked as a heavy equipment truck driver many years for the Teamsters Local 170 before retiring due to illness. Wayne meant the world to his mother and his family and will be missed more than words can express. At Wayne's request there are no services planned.
