Margaret S. (Jalboot) Therrien, 92, formerly of Commons Dr and Shrewsbury Crossing passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 18th 2011 with her family by her side. Margaret was born January 9, 1919, in Worcester, a daughter of Joseph and Mary (Saad) Jalboot. She grew up and graduated from Commerce High School and has lived in Shrewsbury more than 25 years. Margaret's husband Raymond J. Therrien passed away in 1989. A daughter, Darlene A. Therrien passed away in 1995. Margaret is survived by her family, A daughter, Gail E. Gicas and her husband Dean of Shrewsbury, Steven J. Therrien and his wife Donna of Worcester; four grandchildren, Wendy Manning, Tiffany Lewis, Kristin and Gregory Gicas; four great grandchildren; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Two brothers, Nicholas & Alex Jalboot and a sister Lena Bedard also pre deceased her. Margaret worked as a switchboard operator over 12 years for the former Home Federal Savings before retiring in 1989. She previously worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Margaret was a member of St George Orthodox Cathedral, its women's' guild and the VIP's of St George Senior Club. Most of All Margaret cherished her family and friends. She enjoyed all the times she could spend with them and in the company of her friends. They were the inspiration in life that gave her joy. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family, Sunday, May 22nd from 3 pm to 6 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. A trisagion service will be celebrated at 5:45 pm in the funeral home. Her funeral will be held Monday, May 23rd from the funeral home with a Service at 10:00 am in St George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna St. Burial will follow next to her husband and daughter in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St George Orthodox Cathedral endowment fund, 30 Anna St or the Holy Trinity Long term care and rehabilitation Center, 300 Barber Ave. 01605
