Richard E. Huntoon, 84, of Worcester, passed away Wednesday May 4th 2011, with his family by his side after a period of declining health. Richard was born November 7, 1927, in Boston, a son of the late Richard and Estelle (Paulin) Huntoon. He joined the U.S. Navy, from of High School to serve his country during World War II. Upon returning Richard lived in Billerica, Chelmsford and Fitchburg before settling in Worcester over 10 years ago. Richard is survived by his wife and partner of 10 years, Virginia "Ginny" (Sargentelli) Frankian-Huntoon; a daughter, Sheryl M. Haverty and her husband Richard of Lunenburg, a granddaughter, Casey; a sister, Cynthia Cashen of Natick; nieces, nephews and friends. A son, Richard Huntoon passed away in 1999. Richard worked for the Teamsters Local 25 in Boston as Shipper and Receiver, for the Seiler Company in Boston many years before retiring. Richard was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, the Teamsters Local 25, the Greendale Retired Men's Club and . Richard and Ginny found love, adventure and much enjoyment in dancing, they were members of the Saturday Night Froshinn club dance group and could be found on the dance floor were ever there was music. In his younger days Richard danced competitively with his wife and sister in numerous dance competitions winning several. A memorial mass will be celebrated Tuesday May 10, 2011 at 12 noon in Our Lady of Mt Carmel- St Ann Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
