Nunzia "Nancy" Maria (Totaro) Stramacchia, 51, of Worcester, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2011 in her home. Nunzia is survived by her loving children, a daughter, Maria G. Zoller and her husband Daniel; four sons, Alfonso Stramacchia, Santo Stramacchia, Mario G. Stramacchia and Christopher A. Stramacchia; four grandchildren, Alania, Daniella, Nehemiah and Serafina Zoller all of Worcester; two brothers, Silvestro Totaro of Auburn and Pasquale Totaro and his wife Barbara of Worcester; two sisters, Angela Dunkerly and her husband Paul of Paxton and Anna MacGregor and her husband Glenn of Millbury; her best friend, Ricardo Pina of Worcester, to whom she was very close; her former husband, Raffaele Stramcchia of Worcester; many nieces and nephews. She was born in Vieste, Foggia, Italy, daughter of Santo and Maria Josephine (Maggiore) Totaro. She lived in Worcester for many years, before moving to Worcester in 1975. Nunzia enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Her greatest joys were the times she spent with her family. She loved living near her grandchildren so she could surround herself with their tender love. Calling hours for Nunzia will be on Monday, May 9, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 10, from the funeral home with a Mass celebrated at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry Street, Worcester.
