Adeline (Corio) Iaconi, 95, of Worcester died peacefully Thursday May 5, 2011 with her family around her in the Rose Monahan Residence. Her husband Salvatore Iaconi predeceased her. Adeline is survived by her son Frank Iaconi and his wife Carol of Worcester, a son in law Roger Young of Boylston, one brother Gaetano "Guy" Corio and his wife Mary of Worcester, one grandson Frank S. Iaconi and his wife Nancy of Worcester, and a great grandson Salvatore Iaconi, and many nephews and nieces. Adeline was predeceased by a daughter Mary Ann Young, and three brothers, Anthony, Joseph, and Henry Corio. Adeline was born in Worcester daughter of the late Bartolomeo and Annina (Palmiera) Corio and lived here all her life. She enjoyed being a homemaker, and loved gardening, crocheting, and knitting. But most of all being with her family, She will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank the VNA and their Hospice Care especially Lorraine Fitzgerald for her kindness and compassion shown to Adeline and her family. Adeline's funeral service will be held Saturday May 7, at 10:00AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. A period of calling hours with the family will be from 9:00AM to 10:00AM prior to the funeral service.
