Emma L Morse

Emma L. (Patterson) Morse, 97, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2011 in Saint Francis Home of Worcester. Her husband, Russell L. Morse, predeceased her in 1984. Emma was born in Worcester, daughter of George R. and Minnie L. (Barker) Patterson and has lived here all her life. She is survived by four sons, Wayne R. Morse and his wife Susan, George P. Morse and his wife Mary all of Shrewsbury, Robert F. Morse and Clifford E. Morse and his wife Donna all of Worcester; eight grandchildren, Laura, Edward, Brian, Michael, Catherine, Linda, Cindy and Gary; two great grandchildren, Allison and Erik; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Howard, Wilber and Frederick Patterson. Emma was a member of Lakeview Congregational Church and the church Agenda Society. She loved her family and enjoyed trips and vacations with them on Cape Cod. She will be greatly missed. Calling hours for Emma will be held today, Tuesday, May 3, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 7 p.m., all occurring in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Interment in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury, will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Lakeview Congregational Church, 115 Coburn Avenue, Worcester, MA 01604.
