Angelina Ventura

Angelina (Fiorentino) Ventura, 100 of Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 in The St. Francis Skilled Nursing Center. Angelina's husband, Peter Ventura passed away in 1954. She is survived by her son, Maurice Ventura and his wife Lucy of Worcester; two grandsons, Atty. Peter Ventura and Paul Ventura; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by four sisters, Ann Monopoli, Santa Carenzo, Nellie Capalbo and Antoinette Guido. Angelina was born in Bari, Italy, a daughter of the late Nicola and Rose (Cortese) Fiorentino. She later moved to Worcester at the age of ten. She worked as a stitcher for 55 years for numerous companies including Rencroft, Nancy Howard and the Seven Sisters before retiring in 1980. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Ann Parish. She enjoyed being a member of The Mount Carmel Golden Years and Catholic Daughters. She loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, baking and cooking. Services for Angelina were held privately. MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHPAEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester was honored to have assisted the family with arrangements.
