Robert L. Duprey, 82, a longtime resident of Worcester, died peacefully Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in Lanessa Extended Care Center in Webster after a period of failing health. Robert, son of the late Maurice and Grace (Halloran) Deprey, was born in Worcester on August 6, 1928. He worked as a truck driver for the Teamsters Local 170, working with Table Talk Co. in Worcester. Robert was an avid softball player and enjoyed playing pool and cards with his family and friends. He loved his family and friends and they loved him. He loved his grandchildren and the friendship that he shared with each one of them. He is survived by his son, Robert P. Duprey and his wife Lee of Dudley; a brother Paul Duprey of North Brookfield; three grandchildren, Amiee, Adam and Laura; two great grandchildren, Kasey and Tyler. He was predeceased by two brothers, James and Edward Duprey. Robert's funeral will be held today, Thursday, April 28th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, Worcester with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady Mt. Carmel - St. Ann Church, 24 Mulberry St., Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home Thursday morning, before departing for church. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
