Virginia V. (Belsito) DiPadua, 84, of Worcester passed away Friday, April 15th 2011 in the University of Massachusetts hospital with her family by her side. Virginia was born December 12th 1926, a daughter of Vincenzo and Francesca (Ritacco) Belsito. She graduated from Worcester public schools; she met and married her devoted husband and love of her life for the past 64 years, Peter D. DiPadua, Sr. Together they lived and raised their children in Worcester and routinely could be seen daily walking hand and hand in Lake Park. Virginia is survived by the family she loved so much; her husband, Peter DiPadua, Sr; her two children, Debra F. Tambeau and her husband Robert, Peter D. DiPadua, Jr. and his wife Sharon; a sister, Carmella Capuano; her nine grandchildren, Timothy, Lisa, Justina, Christin, Trevor, Samuel, Peter and his wife Brandy, Jeffrey and his fiancee Melissa, Matthew and his wife Christin; nine great grandchildren, Alex, Jeffrey, Gianna, Dominic, Italia, Mattea, Arianna, Vincenzo and Matteo; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of dear friends. Three brothers, Charles, Peter, and Leo Belsito and a sister Louise Gleason all pre deceased her. During Virginia's employed years she worked for the Donut Café on Shrewsbury St, Worcester State University, Doctors and St Vincent Hospital's Virginia was a member of St Anne's Church. She enjoyed family summers in Maine, watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting events and dance recitals. She was devoted to her family; they were her life's inspiration and love. Being in their company and around them is what fulfilled her life. If Virginia wasn't with her family, she could be seen with her husband Peter at one of the area casinos. Her heart and her home were always open to family and friends. Nani's passing has left a huge void in our lives, one that we will fill with love, memories, and the knowledge that we will all be together again one day. We would like to thank the devoted and caring nursing staff at the University of Massachusetts hospital for the compassionate care they gave our mother and family. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Tuesday, April 19th 2011 from 4 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, April 20th from the funeral home with a Mass at St Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike Rd. Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery.
