Phyllis L. (Rose) Latuga, 89 of Worcester formerly of Oneida Ave. died peacefully Monday April 4, 2011 in the Golden Living Center surrounded by her loving family. Her husband Deno Latuga died in 1999. Phyllis is survived by two daughters, Susan Pichierri of Holden, Patricia LoConto and her husband Peter of Rutland, one son Paul D. Latuga and his wife Joyce of Sterling, four grandchildren, Jeffrey Pichierri, Lindsay Latuga, Laura and Taylor LoConto and five Great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Phyllis was predeceased by a sister Edith Picard in 2007, and three brothers, Stanley Allen, and Emery (Buster) Rose. Phyllis was born in Spencer, daughter of the late Arthur and Anne (Kitchen) Rose and was a graduate of Commerce High School, and David Fanning Hale Trade School. Phyllis was a sales clerk for many years at the former Fair Department Store in West Boylston before she retired. Prior to that she worked at the Norton Company, and was also a Hairdresser for many years. Phyllis enjoyed reading, gardening, and wintering in Florida, but her most precious times were those spent with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Phyllis's funeral service will be held Friday at 10:00AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Calling hours in the funeral home will be from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Thursday.
